Things that have a reputation for occurring every year (meteors, etc.). These viualizations of days with interesting reputations use only the equatorial ring- because it does the same thing every year, unlike the Moon Ring, which does something a bit different every year in a cycle of 55 years.
July 29. The Old Farmer's Almanac notes that this is "Rain Day" in Waynesburg, PA, since the late 1800s. The re-analysis confirms that it is one of the rainiest days of the year. And why is that? Hm, ring shading is nowhere near, but there is also dust - maybe solar radiation pressure on the Main Ring. Free fall from the Main Ring still would not fall on Pennsylvania, but the radiation pressure wouldn't be edge on, so it wouldn't be free fall. It would be slowed, could fall into the atmosphere, and would be slanted into some other plane. So it might work.
